Shem Creek Reflections
Oil on canvas 24x30
April 2012
Charleston's international Spoleto Festival is just around the corner, with opening day on Friday, May 25th. I will once again be exhibiting my work in Marion Square downtown, which will include many new lowcountry pieces and feature paintings of Magnolia Plantation. My booth will be located in the same spot as last year - on Calhoun Street under the trees, just adjacent to the Holocaust Memorial. Stop by and visit, and enjoy two great weeks of art, music, dance and theater in Charleston!
If you have recently looked for me downtown without success, it is because I have moved from Broad Street to a new location on Church Street, less than one block south of the Historic Charleston City Market. Come and see my work in the Shelby Lee Gallery, 175 Church Street. The gallery is open seven days a week but closing hours vary. See more of my work at the gallery website: studio151finearts.com.
For those of you venturing north toward Myrtle Beach, I am also exhibiting at the Island Art Gallery in Pawleys Island, located in The Village Shops. The gallery is located at 10744 M Ocean Highway and is open Monday through Saturday. Their website, currently being revised, is: pawleysislandart.com.
